Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst (Linux)

Position Location: Mumbai

Salary 25 Lacs

The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst (DevOps) is responsible for working on assigned projects and technical initiatives in an efficient/effective manner. The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst must possess a high degree of technical knowledge regarding Linux systems, DevOps best practices and associated technology tools for managing them.

Key accountabilities:

  • Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs(DevOps)
  • Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage (DevOps)
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible (DevOps)
  • Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions (DevOps)
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning (DevOps)
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes (DevOps)

Key requirements:

  • Must have:
  • 8-10 years’ experience in Linux administration and management
  • Hands on experience with databases on Linux
  • Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
  • Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
  • Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC)
  • Expertise in working with automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Jenkins etc.
