Ideally around 1 year of experience working on Equity research (KPO or a sell side firm)
Good knowledge of excel and data base like Bloomberg or Capitaline
Have read a couple of annual reports and understand financials well
Self motivated and a go-getter.
Job Description:
Analyzing various industries and companies from an equity investment perspective
Communicating with company managements and sell-side analysts to gain company/industry insights
Financial data analysis
Developing earnings models for companies
Making recommendations to Fund managers based on research on what to buy/sell
Note that Buy side requires a capability to scale up to analyze more than one sector and much larger universe of companies as compared to sell-side research
